As this reserve is still under development, the newly made path ends where
volunteers planted young native trees

The road heading back to the carpark
McLaughlins Mountain, a cone shaped volcano, has been quarried away,
using the scoria for roading and landscaping. Pilots in command of turbo-jet
or turbo-fan powered aeroplanes, use this volcano with its water tower
and aeronautical ground light as a beacon on departure
